Tuesday with Pumpkin - Episode 3

Happy Tuesday...

How was everyone's Cinco de Mayo?

I had planned on making tacos for dinner, but the day ran away from me, so Pumpkin and I ended up with fast food... McDonalds to the rescue.

We did make a fun craft, after spending about an hour at Michael's... yep I went to Michael's.  I was stunned when I went to their website today and saw they finally made it to ONLINE SHOPPING.. when did that happen?  Glad to see they made it to the neighborhood.. lol

Today when I went into the store, I was surprised to see that their inventory in the 'paper crafting' aisles has really expanded.  Maybe I just hadn't noticed or it has been a while since I visited but I was pretty impressed and shocked.  Of course they are still pretty 'over populated' with their Recollection label but I did see some MME and Crate Paper pads.

Anyhow, I have been trying for hours to load a video on YouTube.  I keep getting an error message 503 and 500.  So I hope to have it up here for you by morning.

What? Wednesday! - Week #18

Happy Wednesday Everyone...

Hope your week is going fabulous...

Our last Daisy meeting was Tuesday and we planted some flowers.  They are growing wonderfully.

 

We used 4 oz Dixie cups as our plant containers.  I wasn't sure that they would work but they seem to be doing really well.  Since they are paper, I think we will be able to simply plant them in the ground and they will decompose.

 

On Monday, poor little Pumpkin was hurt by a classmate on the bus... yikes... what drama that was. 
Still not sure how it all transpired but the little guy punched her in the chest, head and scratched her.  Lots of hugs and kisses and a long soak in a bubble bath and she is doing better

Then Tuesday she became sick at school but I didn't get called until 2:35, school is out at 2:55... LOL  I still went and picked her up... poor thing.  Of course she was fine once we were home.  I think she just needed mom still after the earlier events.

Then she negotiated with me, I wanted her help putting away laundry.  She said she would help if I would let her paint my nails... hehehe  I had originally said no, but then Daddy called and she 'told' on me. lol... he got a real laugh out of that, so I couldn't say no.

 

 

 

Hehehe... of course I had just clipped my nails all the way down.  Getting ready to start using my OPI nail treatment again.  Her sweet 'Strawberry Shortcake' nail polish washed right off after dinner dishes.

Our house plans were submitted again to the city Tuesday after revisions were made. We are trying to stay positive and hope to break ground by the 1st week of June! We are all so ready to get this house started. 

I had no idea it would take 9 months of back and forth with different Engineers, our Architect and the City permits and planning department before we could put a shovel in the ground.

This week I want to call attention to Bazzill Cardstock Solids.

 I first purchased Bazzill Classic White and Black Canvas cardstock when I was making my Son and Daughter-in-laws wedding invitations in 2011.

That is when I fell in love with their product. 

Then I got my hands on some Dotted Swiss and some Two Scoop... oh my goodness. 

 

The papers have a wonderful texture ingrained into the paper, elimintating the need to emboss, for a quick card. 

 

The weight of the Cardstock is perfect for a card of substance, meaning you can use light weight papers for the layers and the card still stands on its own with no troubles.

 FREEBIE FRIDAY is this lot of 13 - 12x12 sheets of solid Bazzill Cardstock.

Hello Pumpkin Spice Friends,

Hurray for Saturday!!!  How is everyone's weekend so far?

We are packing our bags this weekend and get the last bit of shopping and chores done before we head out for a month of 'relaxation'.

Well not really... I will be working more probably but at least I won't have to cook dinner, do laundry or clean dishes.. hehehe  I have a list of goals and I hope to get ALL of them done. Wish me luck and motivation. 

Wowzers!  Did everyone have a fun and fabulous National Scrapbooking Day?

I had so much fun hopping around the Pumpkin Spice design teams projects... amazing.  Did you notice we have a new DT sister? hehehe Pumpkin is officially a SPS DT member.  You will starting seeing her projects on the blog from time to time.  Hopefully they will inspire the little people in our lives to play with paper and use their imagination.  I find playing with paper with Pumpkin results in some wonderful communication and insight into the minds of a 5 year old.  For instance, did you know that Elephants and Cats can get married?  I had no idea.  And that Elephants can ride in Hot Air balloons?  Really they can!!!  (smiles)

Daily SPS Inspiration with - Denine's Daisies

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday!!!

I love Fridays... almost as much as Saturdays.

I wanted to share a cute little project my sweet little Daisy girls made for their Moms.

I lead a troop of 6 Daisy's between the ages of 5 and 6.

So much fun and very 'energetic'. LOL

So Cute!!!   I am not certain which one is Pumpkins, since she was trying to hide it.  But my guess would be the Purple one... her favorite color tends to be a give away. :)

I typed up the sentiment that they came up with as a group....

"You are the best mom ever and 

I love you as much as my heart can hold.  

Thank you for being my Mother!"

 ..... I was so impressed with these little Daisy girls.  {hugs to them all}
