Tutorial Tuesday #1 - Print & Cut on a Cameo

Hi Everyone,

I am here to share a tutorial on using the Print & Cut feature on the Silhouette Cameo.

This is the card I made using an image from Scrapbookingmad.com after using the Cameo's print & cut feature.

Lucy... she is one of my favorite clip art characters.  Super sweet, as you can tell, she is part of our logo. :)

I used 3D Zot Dots again to raise her off the paper.  Pumpkin had me print here with a Purple and a Pink background.  Now I can not decide which one I like better.

Here is a video on how to use the Print & Cut feature on your Cameo.

Leave Pumpkin and I feedback on what you would like to see in a tutorial.

Reminder!!

Submit your project for Challenge #53 HERE by Friday, January 10th Midnight (PST)
and
Voting ends for Challenge #52 HERE. on Friday, January 10th Midnight (PST)

If you miss the new line up announcement, it can be found HERE.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for WHAT? Wednesday!

Happy Crafting!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration - Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards just dropping by to share a quick card with you! I recently had a brand new baby niece born - so I had to make a sweet little welcome card for her!

I started off by creating a shape card using my Silhouette Designer Edition Software, then cutting it out with my Silhouette Cameo and some October Afternoon pattern paper.

I curved up the ear a bit when I attached my pink polka dot paper to my cardbase, then tucked a couple of flowers from an Echo Park sticker sheet next to it. The tag sticker, and alphas came from a different Echo Park sticker sheet, and I finished off with a few MME Enamel Dots.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards just dropping by to share a quick card with you! I am loving the feather trend right now, so I had to make a card using some feathers cut with my Silhouette Cameo and Studio Designer Edition Software:

I cut the feathers using some October Afternoon Woodland Park 8x8 pattern paper, and covered them with Glossy Accents. Then I waited patiently (well...sort of!) for them to dry before adhering them with foam adhesive to my pattern paper cardbase - some fun pattern paper from Glitz Designs Hello Friend 6x6 paper pad.

I stamped a sentiment from Unity Stamps, tied a Baker's Twine bow and added a Crate Paper Little Bo Peep brad in the center of the bow. Mounted it all on a Bazzil Classic White cardstock base, then finished off with a few MME Enamel dots...

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards sharing a card with you - and I had some fun with my pattern papers on this one:

I used my Silhouette Cameo and Studio Design Edition Software to cut the Pie Chart pieces using several pattern papers from Crate Paper's Little Bo Peep 6x6 paper pad. I misted a kraft cardbase with white Mister Huey's ink, then added some distress ink to the edges. The pie chart was attached with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.

I used a Paper Smooches stamp set for all the little sentiments, and stamped them on Classic White Bazzil Cardstock trimmed into thin strips. Added some My Mind's Eye enamel dots, and just a bit of jute twine tied in a bow.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Winner Announcements, Challenge #31 & Blog Hop

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to the Pumpkin Spice Monthly Design Team Blog Hop.

If you landed here by chance, be sure you start from the begining with Heather HERE.

You can find the complete line up at the bottom of this post...

Today I have a card to share with you that is similar to last weeks because of the detail cut... BUT... i used my Cameo on this one.  So much easier to clean up the little pieces. (no vacuum required.. hehe)  I also had a lot of fun playing with the fonts and having them follow the shape of the circle.  I am still learning but that was pretty awesome.

What do you think?

I covered the Name in the center because the recipient has not received it yet. :)

But I was able to make 3 of these cards for different people with one file on the Cameo.

Love it!!!  I can go back and use it when ever I need a Congratulations card.
Just insert Name!!!

Supplies:
Cameo
Bazzill White Cardstock (love this stuff - cuts like butter and takes INK amazingly well)
For the Record 2 - Tailored
Ribbon from my stash - I used Courtney Lee's Ribbon technique... Amazingly easy... will be using on my Holiday cards. )

Hope you enjoyed.

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration from Missy ~ Layout

Good morning everyone!

Today I have a scrapbook layout I made documenting my little boy's first haircut to show you. I used the fun My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray (Boy) paper collection and my Silhouette Cameo.

This is actually a two page layout.  One of the pages is the "main" page, with the title and journaling, and the other page contains a collage of photos.  Here are a couple of close ups of the title & some of the fun barber shop images!!  I used some Honey Dotted Swiss paper by Bazzill on the title for some texture.

Here are some close ups of the barber shop images, I just love how they turned out!

Here's a picture of both sides of the layout together.  I don't have any of my photos on it yet (they haven't been printed) but this kind of gives you an idea of what the whole thing will look like when it's done!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my layout!  I hope you have a great day!

NSD - "His and Hers Challenge" with Heather

Hi there! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards to share my hourly challenge with you!

I hope you have been joining in on the fun so far today as we celebrate National Scrapbooking Day! Each hour there is a new challenge posted, with a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Shop Pumpkin Spice for each challenge you enter! Amazing, right?

I also have a coupon code for you - use NSD6 today at Shop Pumpkin Spice to save an extra 10% off your entire purchase today through Monday!

I picked "His and Hers" as the theme for my challenge. Interpret it how you like - either make a set of cards or layouts that include one girl and boy design, make a wedding or anniversary card or layout that is for a couple, or whatever your imagination comes up with!

I decided to use one design to make both a girl and boy baby card - that way if you know someone who doesn't find out in advance whether they are having a boy or girl (like me!) - you have one of each card ready to go right away after they are born!

Here is the girl version:

And here is the boy version:

Here are the supplies from Shop Pumpkin Spice that I used (click on them to link directly to them in the store):

CHALLENGE: His & Her
Interpret it how you like - either make a set of cards or layouts that include one girl and boy design, make a wedding or anniversary card or layout that is for a couple, or whatever your imagination comes up with!

Challenges will all be open until Friday of next week - so you have plenty of time to play along! Can't wait to see what you create!!!

Next up Missy!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards! It is my turn to share some inspiration with you today! Here is my card for the day:
I love the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo machine - so much fun! This is an image from their online store, and I used my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software to size, print, and cut this image. My background papers are from Glitz Design's Cashmere Dame 6x6 paper pad, and I mounted my printed and cut image with foam adhesive for some dimension.
The image is so intricate, and prints out so beautifully! The sentiment words are also cut with my Silhouette Cameo machine out of white Bazzil Basic Cardstock, and I covered them with Glossy Accents - adds such a nice finished look to them! Hard to see in the pictures, but you might see it a little better in this one:
Added some sequins - one of my newest crafty addictions! So quick and super fun for a thank you card!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a wonderful week!!!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards to share some inspiration this morning! I had so much fun making my card to share with you today!
I have been enjoying seen the Speech Bubble trend, and decided to pull out my Silhouette Cameo and Designer Edition Software and create a card using a Speech Bubble. I used files from the online store for the speech bubble, and also the words inside.
My pattern papers are from Glitz Designs and Echo Park Paper company. The stone colored background paper is from Glitz Designs 6x6 Yours Truly paper pad, and the black and white chevron on the bottom is from Glitz Designs 6x6 Cashmere Dame paper pad. The off white I used for the speech bubble is a 12x12 Echo Park page from "Play Ground" (Cloud/Grass Stain), the red for the heart is a 12x12 Echo Park page from "Season's Greetings" (Red/Cream), and the blue in the background and for the word love is also a 12x12 Echo Park page from "Holly Jolly Christmas" (Winter Green/Icicle Blue)
I attached the top half of the sentiment with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension, then attached the bottom half directly to my speech bubble.
I then attached that to my layered card base, also with foam adhesive. Finished off with a tiny wood veneer figure in the bottom right that I colored with a Copic marker to coordinate with my card, and added just a tiny bit of red bling.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards to share a card made with lots of great Shop Pumpkin Spice goodies! With Valentine's Day coming up, you can never have too many cards! This would also be perfect for an Anniversary, or Just Because card - here it is:
I used some of the Crate Paper 6x6 Fourteen papers on this card, as well as some Bazzil Basic White Cardstock. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the heart doily, as well as the smaller hearts, using my Silhouette Designer Edition Software and some cut files from the Silhouette online store.
I embossed the white panel using my Cuttlebug - and inked the edges of it and everything else to finish off the edges. The sentiment is from a the We Connect by Paper Smooches - such a perfect set for Valentine's Day!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day and week!
