Happy Friday Friends,

Oh my goodness, can you believe that we only have 41 day until we ring in 2015.  I am amazed at how quickly this year has flown by.  So much going on and so much still to come.  I love adventures and I must say 2014 has surely presented plenty of them.

Well, speaking of 2015, I think the Graphic 45 Time to Flourish line is an AMAZING line.  The colors, the monthly themes and of course all the coordinating pieces.  I need to wallpaper a room! {hehe}

And what perfect timing to start a year long project.  I am so excited to have this line in my hands next week.  EEkkkk...

I have so many projects in mind for this line.  I purchase my daytimer pages every year for my handy dandy desk planner but I am thinking I might have to just make some sort of GORGEOUS daytime with the TIME TO FLOURISH line.  I have been searching Pinterst for ideas... and have a page full.

Freebie Friday - My Mind's Eye - Happy Haunting 6 x 6

Hi Everyone,

It's Friday!!!  Time for another Freebie Friday...

I have really been trying to take time out this week to craft... but it didn't happen yet. boo hoo... I am itching to cut up the new Graphic 45 papers and the adorable Echo Park Fine and Dandy 6 x 6... ideas are running through my head.  Now I just need to find the time.

I did realize this week, as Pumpkin and I finished book 2 in the Ever After High series, we don't have nearly enough book marks.  Then I got to thinking, what child does.  I think we have 3 or 4 books going each week.

Maybe some Halloween bookmarks instead of candy this year... hmmmmm... is that cheesy? Yay Yay... I know.  No child will want a bookmark instead of candy BUT what about for the classroom.  ***(This is me thinking ..... see how I talk to myself.... hahaha)***

So, after all of that back and forth in my head.... ON ORDER is the New Doodlebug Ghouls & Goodies... totally 1st grade friendly!  I should have them in my hands by October 1st.  Can not wait to start some fun projects.  If you want me to set one aside for you... email me!

Oh am I loving this new Graphic 45 line ~ Raining Cats and Dogs ~  As if the name wasn't enough for a Washingtonian to gobble up, look at the color palette.

If you are not a fan of the great detail the Graphic 45 papers brilliantly display, I would be willing to guess you will still LOVE the 6 x 6 Patterns & Solids.

All of the G45 lines now include the coordinating 6 x 6, that is WONDERFUL for Card makers.  The prints are smaller, not duplicates of their larger prints.  Different and a perfect compliment to their detailed designs.

Freebie Friday - September 5th, 2014 - My Mind's Eye - Here is Happy

Hi Everyone,

It's Friday!!!  Time for another Freebie Friday...

Today is the half way point to post your projects to the  School challenge.

It's SEPTEMBER.... yay!!!  Starting tomorrow, Saturday the 6th, Pumpkin Spice will be back to weekly challenges.  So get those papers, adhesive and cutting tools ready to play!

Challenges will be posted weekly, but will have a two week submission period.  I hope this is not too confusing.  Hollar if you have any questions.

I am catching up this week and next on all my administrative duties... yikes.  I took some time off this summer and it is really showing in my piles of 'to do' lists.

I have had such a fun summer with Pumpkin being home with me.  We did get addicted to the show "Ugly Betty".  That was our night time cuddle show a couple times a week, with popcorn of course.  She loves Betty!  We call it the 'UB' because we don't like the word ugly.

For those that are wondering... YEP, I cried!  Wednesday was Pumpkin's 1st day back to school and they wouldn't let me walk her all the way to her classroom. (lol)

We had our hugs and kisses at the gate and I was left to watch her walk off to the playground......   my 3/4 of mile walk home was sad, exciting and humbling.  Pumpkin is becoming so independent and confident, but I am so proud that she still finds comfort in moms 'hugs and kisses'.

Who else sheds a tear or two on the 1st day back to School?

This is a paper pad from My Mind's Eye.  "Here is Happy"  I think with all the 'new beginnings' this week "Here is Happy" is very appropriate.  The papers are perfect for end of summer projects.  The colors are not super bright but they are not fall colors either.  You have chevrons and dots for layers and flowers and other adorable patterns.

Oh I so love having her home with me, we have some amazing conversations and she keeps me from spending all my time in front of the computer.  I mean she has to eat - right?! (hehe) But seriously, she keeps me sane with a little insanity on the side.  How knew how much fun it could be playing make believe with 'erasers'?  Yeah, pencil top erasers... who knew?

I am sure I will go through withdrawals once she starts back to school next week, but I will definitely have plenty to keep me busy, so maybe I won't notice (Yay Right - I cry every 1st day of school.)

How many of you cry on your little persons first day to school?  I mean I think we ALL do for the first day of Kindergarten, right?  I can't be the only sappy mom!

Pumpkin still grabs my hand when we go for walks.... I LOVE THAT!!

These little cuties have been on back order for MONTHS.  I just received them last week and oh my goodness... so stinking cute.  Look at the sweet little turtle, isn't he adorable.  And of course everyone loves the owls but this little one is combo-ed with a mushroom.  eeekkk... these paper designs rock.  But what less can we expect from the famous Lori Whitlock.

Just in time for the upcoming Halloween festivities... here is an adorable pad from Graphic 45.  I was so excited when they started making the coordinating 6 x 6 Patterns & Solids to go with their design.  It really makes using their Designer lines simple and the Patterns & Solids are fabulous all by themselves too!

Graphic 45 really put together some amazing designs this year.  Have you seen the new Raining Cats and Dogs line... super fun!  My favorite line so far is the Come Away with Me for designs.. but color pallet, its got to be An Eerie Tale, these colors are so ME.

Freebie Friday - August 1st

It's Friday!!!  Can you believe it has been nearly two months since the last Freebie Friday... WOW.

And AUGUST 1st!  Double wow!

Summer has been such a blast!  So much going on with work, school and life in general but we have really been taking advantage of getting outdoors.  Since we are new to the area there is so much to see and do.  The weather this year has been beautiful.  I think it has only rained 6 or 7 days since Pumpkin started summer break. 

Yep, she is out for the summer.  So you are wondering why I said so much going on with school... well technically its not school in the traditional sense, more like intense studying.  About 4 hours a day.  I am preparing for a credential exam in my line of work and it is going to be intense around here for then next 6 months.  I only hope my family doesn't starve because I have forgotten to feed them. hehe

Some of our other adventures:

We climbed to the top of Tiger Mountain a couple of weeks ago.. yep Pumpkin too.  She was a trooper.  Here is a pic at the top!  We got so dirty... I even stepped in dog doo... yuck!  But what an accomplishment.  I felt so great when we go home and slept like a rock.

It was a 3 mile hike up the mountain... at least that is what hubby says. :)  My step counter did not give me that many steps. hehehe  It was so much fun

And we finally broke ground for our new home.  So excited to watch this project develop.

Hello Crafting Friends,

Wow, what a week.  I know I have not posted this week and I am sorry. 

I have some super cute pictures to share.  Pumpkin made a new friend and with the hot weather this is how they chose to enjoy the outdoor play time.

I thought this was so cute.  She wanted to play in the water too... but didn't want to get wet.  So the sweet little boy gave her an umbrella so they could still play.

Snickerdoodle and Pumpkin shared a chair and a plate of watermelon Mother's Day weekend.

We have really enjoyed the weather.  It is not typical for Washington to have the beautiful sunshine.  So we are taking full advantage of it.


For Mother's Day my kiddos surprised me with a wonderful Breakfast feast.  My hubby was very good at coordinating the surprise and the boys did all the cooking.  I am so thankful for my kids. (yep, even when they drive me crazy.)

Confessions: My sweet Daughter in Law made the yummy breakfast casserole.

And the boys gave me some beautiful flowers.  They always remember my favorite flower is a carnation.
