NSD Use Your Scraps Challenge with Saundra

Hi There! Saundra here from  Luv Scrapping Together!

This month we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a Challenge every hour.

Every challenge you participate in gives you a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the SPS store. That's is $20 per challenge! all you have to do is link up to the challenge in which you are participating.

I will tell you my challenge at the end of this post.

Here is what I have created today. I made 2 shaped cards using my scraps to create them.

For this card, I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge to create the base , the scallop, and the hat.

The base was cut from Bazzill Kraft cardstock. All of my scraps came from Echo Park's Paradise Beach 6x6 paper pad. This is a fun and colorful collection of beach and summer prints.

I added a brad from MME The Sweetest Thing Sunshine Brads and added some baker's twine in Blossom from The Twinery.

To finish my card off, I added some faux stitiching with my white gel pen and a ribbon from my stash.

Here you can see how this card folds open. The Cricut cartridge has this shape built right in.

For my second card, I started with the same Bazzill Kraft cardstock but this time I used 2 circles that I cut from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. In the picture below it shows how I attached them to create the base. The circle and starburst shape also came from Accent Essentials.

I cut the party hat from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.

My scraps for this card came form MME The Sweetest Thing "Tangarine" 6x6 pad. I LOVE the prints in the collection. They are just so pretty.

I made a pom pom from The Twinery Baker's Twine in Mandarin for some embellishment.

This sentiment is also from My Pink Stamper's Birthday Doodles set and stamped with MPS Darkest Night Ink.

To make a shaped card without using software to weld your images togetheris to cut 2 of the same shape. Score one of the shapes about 1 1/2 inches from the edge and just add adhesive to that part. It's very easy and the plus side is that your shapes will not have a flattened side.

Ok, so here is my challenge:
Make a shaped card using your scraps!
