Today's Daily SPS ramblings with Denine

Hello Everyone,

Happy Friday!  My post is a little late today, sorry.

It has been a HOT HOT week here in India.  Wednesday was 117 degree... can you say 'melt'.  I am a Washington girl... my idea of a hot day is 75, so you can imagine how i do in heat...

The lowest at night has been 83 and during the day it has not been lower than 107 since we got here.

It did rain yesterday... but it is like taking a HOT shower and a steam bath at the same time... lol  And with the rain... come the mosquitoes... so I much rather the HOT HOT sunny weather..

Pumpkin is having a blast playing with here cousins and being sassy with her Nana-ma and At-ta  (Grandmother and Aunt)  She is picking up a couple of words of Telugu here and there.. better than me.

The hubby is sick with a sinus cold, which I had when we landed in Dubai on our stop over, and just got over a few days ago.

We found out something very interesting while shopping here in India.  The DVD players here do not play our US DVD's.  Crazy right!!!  So we have a holder full of DVD's for the girls with nothing but a little 7 inch portable DVD player to watch them on... lol  (not to self - purchase DVD player for next trip)

Well, remember to enter the challenge that ends later tonight for your chance at some free product and return tomorrow fore the SPS Design Team Blog Hop and winner announcements.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Big crafty hugs,
Denine

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Hi there! Heather from Houses Built of Cards back again to share another card with you! his card I kept pretty simple, to focus on the message and make use of the beautiful pattern paper - you can find all supplies from Shop Pumpkin Spice linked at the bottom:

My pattern papers are from Crate Paper's 6x6 Little Bo Peep paper pad - except the gray pale chevron which is from Crate Paper's Paper Heart collection. I used my Silhouette Cameo and Studio Designer Edition Software, as well as a file from the online store to cut the happy birthday words.

Finished off by layering some more pattern paper under the front panel, then attaching it to a card base made of Bazzil Classic White Cardstock. Finally, I wrapped a bit of jute twine around and tied in a bow.

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Heather - Card

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards! I get to post here today! I had fun with some more Crate Paper, as well as a Unity Stamp set and a bunch of fun embellishments that you can find over at Shop Pumpkin Spice! You can find them all linked at the bottom of this post:
I stamped this fun Unity Stamp jar on pattern paper, then fussy cut it out to adhere to my card. I stamped the hearts inside the jar, and spread a light layer of Stickles over the hearts to add a touch of sparkle. Also added a few enamel dots in the jar.
My pattern papers are all from Crate Paper's Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad, and I used a coordinating epoxy brad from the same collection on my jute twine bow.
There is a bit of washi tape on there, as well as a doily tucked behind the center panel. I used Bazzil white cardstock for my cardbase - it is PERFECT for making card bases with!
Here are all the supplies used on this card, linked to the SPS store:

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
