SPS Blog Hop - Sympathy Cards for Denine

Our fearless leader Denine had a super sad tragedy in her life - her father in law very suddenly passed away from an accident. So she is gone in India to pay her respects and to mourn with the family. We decided to have our blog hop anyway and to inspire you with sympathy cards which we are sending to Denine.

If you would like to leave her comments here of encouragement and comfort, then I am sure she will read them and appreciate them.

The Shop Pumpkin Spice Store will be closed until June 6th. All orders made will be shipped after that date. We thank you for your patience!

Sympathy cards are always hard for all of us to make and we always hope never to use them even if we create them. So I hope this hop inspires you even though it is a sad cause.

Here is the blog hop list in case you get lost.

Dilly Dally with My Mind's Eye

Hi, June Houck here with a little Friday inspiration using My Mind's Eye products.

As soon as I saw the My Mind's Eye "Miss Caroline" 6x6 pads available at Shop Pumpkin Spice, I purchased them.  I am particularly drawn to "Dilly Dally."  There are some collections of papers that really evolve into cards easily...this one works for me.  Do you recall my umbrella card?  I loved that one.  And my other butterfly card was quick and easy...and only used 1 sheet of 6x6.  I created today's card from some of the scraps from the umbrella card, plus a few other patterns in the collection.

Both the glazed brad and the twine are also from My Mind's Eye; I am so glad that their products coordinate with older collections.  The twine is from the Lime Twist collection, and the brad is from Lost & Found Two.

  Happy Friday!

My Mind's Eye is Chic

Hi!  June Houck here with a little Thursday inspiration at Shop Pumpkin Spice.  I am playing with my Shop Pumpkin Spice "Spicy Chic" card kit again...the doily actually came from the January kit, but the sentiment die cut, the Indie Chic papers, and gem brad are all from the kit.  All for only $15.95.  I love shopping at Shop Pumpkin Spice!  Only the orange crinkle ribbon and dark grey Bazzill card stock are from my stash.

Happy Thursday!

Fashionably Late. Hope it was great!

Hello! Courtney from Court's Crafts here!

I got almost EVERYTHING on this card from Shop Pumpkin Spice! It looks like she is sold out of one of the On the Bright Side Paper Pads, but the other one is the one I have used more anyway! I love them both.

I had a GREAT time making this card and actually spent two days working on it (of crafty time... I didn't stare at it the WHOLE day. lol.) So I am really pleased with the result! I hope you like it too!

I chose to use the two different embossing powders on this card and line them up - a tricky thing, but it was really fun from concept to execution.

***SORRY! Taken down for publication in the December issue of Cricut Magazine!! :) ***

Echo Park takes the cake!

Hello, this is June Houck with a little Tuesday inspiration for you at Shop Pumpkin Spice.  I am a huge fan of Echo Park paper collections.  My very first Echo Park collection was "a walk in the park"; that collection is still one of my most beloved of all Echo Park collections.  I have been crafting for about twelve years and I have many paper collections in my stash, but I never demolished a collection and reduce it to small scraps like I did with "a walk in the park"....until now!  I think I may have even fewer scraps of Echo Park's "For the Record" that I used to create this card.  My background paper (red damask) is also Echo Park "This & That" collection.

I hope your Memorial Day weekend was fun and relaxing...did you have a chance to craft?  I played with paper for most of weekend and I am off to play some more.

Supplies:
paper:  Echo Park For the Record "Lace Stripes", "Picket Fence"; Echo Park This & That Graceful "Quilt"
stickers:  Echo Park element stickers (sentiment) and alpha stickers (aqua border strip)
Cricut cartridges:  Elegant Edges p.50 (nested circles); Sweethearts p.64
mini brads in black

Happy Tuesday!
