This is my first Christmas card of 2011! I actually feel like I'm behind on Christmas cards already. I have a LONG list and I'm worried that I won't be able to cross everyone off.
Thankfully, there are some beautiful Christmas/holiday papers and embellishments already available at Pumpkin Spice so it made this card very easy to put together. I used the oh-so-lovely MME Lost and Found Christmas papers from the 6x6 paper pad and a sentiment panel from the matching accessory sheet. The accessory sheet is actually 12x12 so you can get loads of cards done with it. I absolutely adore the rich, deep, and traditional colors in this collection!
Also, there's so need to stay within a certain collection/line when making something! I used the Echo Park Happy Days Brad Assortment for the pearl center of the poinsettia on the upper right and also for the rhinestone center of the poinsettia on the lower left. I thought these brads added the perfect touch to the flowers.
And since this card had no coloring, it was quick to make. I'm actually rather pleased about how it turned out and I hope you like it, too :)
Sentiment: from My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Christmas - Accessory Sheet ; Papers: My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Christmas - 6 x 6 paper pad; Embellishments: Echo Park "Happy Days" - Happy Days Brad Assortment, Prima flowers and leaves, twine, doily; Tools: Tonic Guillotine Cutter, ATG Adhesive Gun (SPS has it for $18.89!)
Quick tip for using 6x6 papers on larger cards (this card is 5x7): The technique (if you can call it that) I always use is to cover up where you joined the two different papers with ribbon or lace. That way, it breaks up the papers while making it look cohesive, gives it a bit of contrast, and I think makes the card a little more interesting.
