Final SPS Design Team Blog Hop....

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to the Pumpkin Spice December Design Team Blog Hop!

This is our final 2013 Pumpkin Spice Design Team Blog Hop.  It has been such a pleasure working with these talented ladies.  They have been so supportive of my little venture, Shop Pumpkin Spice over the years.

I stumbled upon the world of 'blogging' nearly by accident when I purchased my Cricut back in 2008. Promising my hubby that I would be crafting my fingers to the bones... but my real love, I found, was PAPER.  I should have known since I am the crazy person that has post it notes in all colors and varieties even though I really don't use them.  And don't get me started on the note pads with all the cute designs.

I found MME (my mind's eye) in a local Scrapbooking store and fell in love with Wild Asparagus. The colors, the paper texture, the quality.. ahhhhhh.  I became friends with KC at MME, via my many emails, and eventually he got me started on my first Wholesale order, and that was the beginning of Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Over the next year, things started to take off and other paper lines were added to my little shop. Echo Park, Cosmo Cricket, Bo Bunny...

Then in 2011, things really took off for SPS after the first official design team was starting, due in a large part to the coaxing of a special friend, Courtney.. thank you for everything!

With the start of the design team, I had the honor of meeting some amazing ladies.  Not only are they all beyond words Talented but they are super sweet and generous ladies.  My friends!

I have watched DT sisters move onto bigger and better opportunities and been so proud of their accomplishments and many publications.  I feel so privileged to have been associated with all the SPS Design Team sisters, past and present.

Although this is a sad farewell to the 2013 design team, I know I will continue to see their wonderful projects on their own blogs.

Lets starts the BLOG HOP!!!!

Begin with June at http://www.simplyelegantpapercrafts.blogspot.com/ for the beginning of some spectacular inspiration.  June amazes me with her projects from scraps and older designs.. she has a definite eye for color and design.

Then hop over to Saundra at http://luvscrappingtogether.blogspot.com/ she is sure to WOW you with her endless ability to create something wonderful with her die cuts.

Then hop over to Heather at www.housesbuiltofcards.blogspot.com.  Heather's cards are also available to purchase for a cause close to her heart.  Be sure to read about her Sister Connection after you get inspired by her beautiful cards.

Then comes Missy at www.quickchickdesigns.blogspot.com. Her layouts amaze me and I am sure they will you too.  She combines so many design elements, from die cuts to coloring to pattern paper contrasts.

Be sure to add all these talented ladies to your daily blog reading.  They have such fun personalities, their stories will surely bring a smile to your face.

I will miss all of them deeply.  Huge Hugs my dear friends.

Denine

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration from Missy ~ 3D Item

Good morning everyone!

Today I wanted to share a little Shop Pumpkin Spice inspiration with you!!  This week, over on the Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog, we are having a "use your scraps" challenge.  In keeping with the challenge theme, I decided to make a gift card holder..

To make my project, I used my sing my Silhouette Cameo and some fun summer paper from Echo Park's Summer Days paper collection! I also added a bit of Lilac bakers twine from the Twinery.  We would love to have you join in our challenge this week, so grab some scraps and head on over!!

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with June - card

Happy December!  This is June Houck and it's my turn up on the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog today.  This weekend I did a little reorganizing of my 6x6 pads in my craft room (which has doubled in number since I started shopping at the Pumpkin Spice online store; where 6x6 pads are always $4.20 or less!)

Sometimes I find inspiration just by looking through each collection.  When I get too many scraps in a collection, I store what is left of the pad and the coordinating paper bits in a Ziploc quart-size bags.  They fit perfectly!  While re-organizing my pads (partially by season, mostly by manufacturer), I noticed this Indie Chic pad was the thinnest of them all.  In fact there are only 3 sheets out of the original 24 that have not been cut into!  I thought this would be the perfect collection to use for this week's challenge at Shop Pumpkin Spice: SCRAPS.

No full sheet of 6x6 was harmed in the creation of this card.  Even my yellow card base and the chocolate chip card stock layers were from scraps of 8 1/2 x 11 sheets.

I stamped the jar, then used my Xyron to adhere it to two scraps of the brown card stock, then I fussy cut the jar.  I find that my Xyron gives good coverage when I apply a heavy layer of glossy accents and my papers do not warp.  I also used my Xyron for the two panels where I used my grandma's sewing machine; the adhesive holds those pesky loose threads neatly behind.

Supplies:  (links embedded)
stamps:  Unity Stamp Company "Jars of Love" (mason jar); My Pink Stamper "Love-alicious" (sentiment)
ink:  Texas Chocolate hybrid ink
paper:  My Mind's Eye "Indie Chic: Nutmeg"; Stampin' Up! Barely Banana and Chocolate Chip card stock
buttons:  My Mind's Eye Indie Chic: Saffron "Dreams"
glossy accents

I hope you can use up some SCRAPS and play along in our scraps challenge this week on the Shop Pumpkin Spice blog.

Happy Tuesday!  June
