PumpkinSpice February Blog Hop & Challenge #5

Hello Everyone,

Happy February!  Oh my, was January a long month for you?  It certainly was for me!
So happy to see February and of course all the hearts and flowers and candy.... It's just so much fun to see the little one's exchange Valentine's.  I think that is one of my favorite classroom 'party' times.
Pumpkin only has 10 or so to exchange with this year, not nearly enough in my opinion, so they are getting a multitude of cards.  LOL You will see them below.
First, today is the February Hop with all the AMAZING ShopPumpkinSpice Designers.  Can I ohh and ahh for a minute... {big sigh..}  Everytime I hop over the the PumpkinSpice Blog and see one of these ladies' creations... I am always so impressed.  They are all just so creative and detailed... LOVE IT!!!
If you have landed here by chance, you will definately want to begin with Tanya!

Here is the complete line up:

Next, we have our Challenge for today!
Are you Ready??

Today's Challenge: Hearts! How easy is that?  Make something with Hearts! Be creative and have fun!

Here is my Project for the Challenge:

Are these adorable or WHAT!?!  I took the time to watch a YouTube video (several out there) on how to use the Print and Cut feature on the Cameo... Oh MY!!!  I am hooked.  I don't know if my poor Cricut will be used again.  I used the Classic White Bazzill 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock (love this stuff - works for EVERYTHING), printed in my low-tech printer, took it to the Cameo and presto... done.  So easy it is sad it took me so long to do it!

Link your project Above.

The winner will be announced Next Saturday along with our new Challenge.

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration with Marlene - Card

Hello Everyone!

Marlene here from ScrappinCookie!

I'm so happy to be here today to share a quick and easy Valentine's Day/Anniversary Card I made using supplies from the ShopPumpkinSpice Store.

But before I get started with all the details of my card, I want to reminder you that ShopPumpkinSpice is adding SALE items DAILY to the store. Be sure to check out the SALE ITEMS section of the store.

AND

ShopPumpkinSpice still has a FEW Valentine "With Love" Kits AVAILABLE!! The Kit comes COMPLETE with 2 - 6x6 Paper Pads, Cardstock, Chipboard Accents, Embellishments, and a Stamp Set!! To see the FULL Kit Contents, go to the ShopPumpkinSpice Store. Only a FEW Kits left, get yours before its gone.

And now back to my card....

I created this fast and easy card using papers from the NEW My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 3 Ruby 6x6 Paper Pad. I absolutely LOVE this paper pad, not only because its $4.19 at the ShopPumpkinSpice Store, but because the color combinations are AMAZING! The pad is filled with Browns, Reds, Pinks, Grey, Cream...add a bit of black or kraft like I did and you will get a whole different look every time.

Similar to the "Blue Valentine" Card I made for the Blue, White & Round ShopPumpkinSpice Challenge, - which ends TODAY, so hurry and enter - I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Rosette Die for my main focus. On top I added two small glittered Hearts cut from my Cricut and a bow made from "Charcoal" Twinery Twine - available HERE at ShopPumpkinSpice - with some mulberry paper roses.

I hope you have enjoyed my  ShopPumpkinSpice Inspiration!

I'd LOVE to hear what you think, so be sure to leave a comment below.

Today’s Daily Inspiration Post–Cheryl Cards

Last week I created a 6x6 layout using Echo Park This & That Graceful paper pad from ShopPumpkinSpice. When I was done, my desk was a total mess with the left over stickers, papers, doilies, etc. and I had about an hour before I had to start making dinner. I knew if I put everything away, it would probably be a while before I dug out these gorgeous papers and stickers and put them to use again. So I challenged myself to make as many cards as I could, primarily using the materials on my desk, before I had to start cooking. This is what I came up with.

2013-01-30 PSS Card 4 WM_thumb[1]

Card #1 uses one of the sentiment stamps from Love You Mulberry Wood collection available at ShopPumpkinSpice. I used a handy tip that I picked up somewhere. If you have a sticker that you want to make un-sticky, dust the back with cornstarch. (Be sure to tap off the extra and even brush it off with an old brush. Anything else the cornstarch gets on will also become no longer sticky.) I did that on the blue flower so that I could pop it up on dimensionals.

2013-01-30 PSS Card 2 wm_thumb[1]

On card #2, I trimmed down the flourish/stem sticker so that it would fit my card. Again I used the corn starch trick and popped up the flower.

2013-01-30 PSS Card 1 WM_thumb[1]

I love this hot balloon sticker, especially with the sentiment.

2013-01-30 PSS Card 3 WM_thumb[1]

This one is my favorite. I love this sentiment sticker because I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was small (and she still liked my singing). I matted the sticker with a piece of scrap black card stock.

I made all four of these cards in about an hour with the bits and pieces on my desk. It really showed me how versatile stickers can be and how quickly you can make some cards. I think I usually consider stickers as something to use primarily in scrapbooking. ShopPumpkinSpice has a large variety of stickers you can use in your crafting available HERE. Pair them up with some matching papers and you are ready to go to make a stack of cards. (Note that after these 4 cards and my 6x6 scrapbook page, I still have plenty of paper and stickers to play with.)

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!

~Cheryl

Today's Daily SPS Inspiration from Missy - Card

Good morning everyone!

This is Missy from Quick Chick Designs!!  I don't know about you, but right now I'm finding myself knee deep in projects for Valentine's Day!!  I thought for my post today I'd take a break from all the reds, pinks and aquas and do something a bit different!!  I decided to break out my Echo Park For the Record 2 paper pad.  The papers in this collection just remind me of a country kitchen for some reason!!  They're so bright and cheery!!  (And yes some red and pink, but a different theme so it still counts as taking a break, LOL!!!)

I cut the apron from the Country Life Cricut cartridge.  I thought it was the perfect image for these papers, and I love the way the patterns on it make it look so pretty!!  The friendly "Hello" sentiment can be found in the retired My Pink Stamper Girlie Doodles stamp set.  I like that I have a pretty, generic card for my stash that I can grab when I'm in a hurry!!

Remember, we've got another challenge going on the blog this week!  The challenge includes using the colors blue and white, and something round on your project!!  We'd love to have you join in!!  Click HERE to join in the fun!!  Thanks for visiting today!!!  ~Missy

Any Occasion by Tanya

Good morning everyone!  I hope you have a relaxing day ahead of you before going back to work tomorrow...me I plan on watching some of the Pro Bowl :)  For today's project I thought I'd take one of the paper stacks and make a quick card that can be used for any occasion.  I haven't put any sentiments on the front yet as I'll wait until I figure out what I need it for.  But one good thing, this is a great way to use up those scraps and it's super quick :)

The papers I used on this were from the Be You Paper Pad
